In this passage we see that not only is God righteous, but we can be too. Righteousness with a holy God comes only by faith in Jesus Christ. Any attempt to work hard or be good will only result in failure. God is righteous and holy; meaning He is sinless. He cannot allow sin in His presence. It is only through the death of His Son on the cross that we can be forgiven and made righteous. Romans 10:9-13 is a great passage to read. Becoming righteous is not hard. It is obtained by simply believing that Jesus Christ died for you and wants to live in you.
